Door County accident claims life of Prof. Anne Kok
Anne C. Kok, an associate professor and chair of UW-Green Bay’s undergraduate program in Social Work, was killed in a car accident this week. Kok, 60, was a compassionate teacher and award-winning scholar who joined the UW-Green Bay faculty in 1988. In the last year alone, her program had won the 2007 Founders Association Award for excellence in collaborative achievement, and she herself had recently won a fall semester 2008 sabbatical leave from the UW System Board of Regents to promote new international educational opportunities for UW-Green Bay students in Jordan.
Friends, students and co-workers are invited to visit the University web site for remembrances and reminiscence on the online memorial.
