Lynne Cunningham ’74 urban analysis, is executive director of The Enterprising Kitchen, Chicago. The nonprofit enterprise makes natural soaps and spa products, and provides workforce development and support services to women working toward economic independence.

Michael Petersen ’85 communication and the arts, is co-author of a law review article detailing past problems in legal education and proposing strategies for improvement. The article, “A Legal Education Renaissance: A Practical Approach for the Twenty-First Century,” can be accessed at www.wmitchell.edu/ler.

Susan M. Zellner ’99 communication and the arts, shares word that she received the 2007 Rising Star Award at National Philanthropy Day in Wilmington, Del., hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Brandywine Chapter. The award recognizes a fundraising executive with five years or less experience who shows strong leadership potential. She is employed at the Delaware Art Museum as the manager of major gifts.

Anne Schauer ’00 environmental science and ’02 environmental science and policy, was featured in Marquette Engineering Magazine, Fall/Winter 2007. She is working on her doctorate in environmental engineering, studying ways to get more methane production from the breakdown of agricultural waste. Walker ’98 joins Union staff
Wayne Walker ‘98 is the new Customer Service Manager for University Ticketing, Information, and ID Services in the University Union following five-years as the customer service manager for WG&R furniture of Green Bay. Walker was a member of the Phoenix men’s basketball team from  1996-1998. He will manage the front-of-house operations for the new Ticketing and Information Center being completed in the new University Union remodel.

Kay Nelson ‘78 is a full professor at Southern Illinois University. She previously held engineering and senior management positions with Procter & Gamble, Green Bay, Apple Computer and NATO. She has been honored as an NSF Career Scholar and outstanding woman in technology. She is married to Jim Nelson, a professor at SIU. Her degree is in communication and the arts.

Marty Stanley ‘77 managerial systems, is president of Dynamic Dialog, Inc., and a professional speaker, facilitator and executive coach. Her book: Get Out of B.E.D. (Blame, Excuses and Denial): Change Your Outlook, Alter Your Outcomes was published in December 2006. She received the 2007 Team Builder Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners and was honored in 2005 as a “Woman who Means Business” by the Kansas City Business Journal.

Mark Fralick ‘82 business administration, is the president of ROI Solutions, LLC in Oconomowoc. He also co-founded Software Architects Inc., working with companies like Compaq Service Organization, Panasonic, Delta Faucet, Timex, and Lifetime Hoan to develop supply chain solutions. He has twice been nominated for State Entrepreneur of the Year.

Laura (Busby) Hollingsworth ‘89 has been named president and publisher of the Des Moines Register. She has been the Register’s general manager since 2005 and the newspaper’s vice president of advertising from 2002 to 2005. Hollingsworth also worked as an advertising executive at Gannett Co. newspapers in Washington, Illinois and Michigan. She lives in Johnston, Iowa, with her husband and three children. She majored in communication processes.

Marc Jimos ‘91 and ‘02, a band instructor at Ashwaubenon High School, played with members of his school’s drum corps in back-to-back shows last summer at the Resch Center, Green Bay, with country music star Keith Urban. Jimos majored in communication and the arts and music, and received a master’s degree in Applied Leadership for Teaching and Learning.

Tamara Jochem ‘95 environmental sciences, is senior mammal keeper at the Dallas Zoo. Jochem works with training gorillas, chimpanzees, mandrills, zebras, and African antelope.

Chad Goeden ‘00 completed two years with the Peace Corps in the Ukraine and is now the international center coordinator at Washington State University. His degree is in German.

Stacey Wegener ‘05 is the medical scholar program coordinator with UW Medical Student Admissions in Madison. She earned a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy analysis in 2007. She majored in psychology and human development.
