Cheer on the Phoenix with fellow alumni Jan 25 and Feb 1

Your UW-Green Bay Alumni Association is hosting two alumni receptions and you are personally invited to both. The first is prior to the Green Bay Women’s game vs. Wright State on Saturday, Jan. 25 and the second is prior to the Green Bay Men’s game vs. Wright State on Saturday, Feb. 1.

These events are incredibly fun and provide a great place to catch up with old friends, meet new friends and cheer on the Phoenix. Cost of attendance includes your basketball game ticket*, food and drink, a chance to win fantastic prizes and give-a-ways. Your admission also gives you access into the Phoenix Fund room at halftime. Mix and mingle with some of our most avid Phoenix supporters.

The purpose of this alumni network is to provide networking opportunities for UWGB graduates in the regional area. The complimentary lunch and program begins at noon in the Gasthaus in the UW-Milwaukee Union. Alumni will learn about their benefits, the latest happenings at their alma mater and will have an opportunity to meet UWGB’s new Athletic Director, Mary Ellen Gillespie, and Volleyball Coach, Michaela Franklin.

Share the Love…Story

69240_10151472288161154_1160245114_nWith Valentine’s Day coming up, we want to hear all about our UWGB alumni couples.  If you are part of an alumni couple, tell us about your love story.  We want to know all the details-how you met, where you liked to hang out, if alumni friends stood in your wedding, etc.

Share your love story by emailing alumni@uwgb.edu and send along a photo of the happy duo, too. We’ll be posting some of these stories on our alumni Facebook page.

Blast from the Past

Shorewood Club Building, interior with green chairs and curtains SlideUniversity Archives is seeking your help to preserve the rich history of University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Archives collect and save materials about UWGB. We have campus publications and official records of campus offices. However, we are missing an important part of the UWGB story…the students!

We hope you can help us by sharing your photos and memorabilia. Do you have a button with an early mascot? How about a photo of your friends hanging out in the Union, or a poster from the Blue Whale Coffeehouse? Do you have an early uniform? We are especially looking for candid photos and documents about student organizations. Didn’t save anything from your UWGB days? Share a memory instead.

No matter when you went to school, we would love to see your UWGB historical items and hear your stories. Whether you want to send us a story/memory; a digital image; or are ready to part with the original item, you may contact the Archives at:  archives@uwgb.edu or 920-465-2539.

Who knows?  Your photo might be highlighted in our popular Facebook feature, “Throwback Thursday!”  Check it out at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Archives and Area Research Center.

Go Phoenix and (Fighting Tomatoes) and (Bay Badgers)!
