Time To Answer the Call! Alumni Phone-A-Thon Continues

Alumni Phone-A-Thon callersAs the spring semester enters its final few weeks, UW-Green Bay undergraduates continue to reach out to alumni to solicit support of scholarships and academic programs. Nearly 20 students callers are working the phones in effort to encourage 25,000 alumni to give back to their alma mater. Contributions go to help current and future students offset the rising cost of a college education and to ensure UW-Green Bay continues to deliver a quality, affordable, accessible education for years to come!

So please pick up your phones! For more information on the Alumni Phone-A-Thon, or to make your gift online, please visit www.uwgb.edu/giving.

Reasons Not to Give? Callers Have Heard Them All!

laugh

As Alumni Phone-A-Thon callers will tell you, UW-Green Bay alumni can be “creative” when it comes to finding reasons not to donate. While there are any number of perfectly legitimate reasons for not contributing, here are a few favorite “unique” comments from alumni:

• The alum claimed not to speak English.

• The alum pretended to be deceased.

• The alum was bathing the dog and could not talk…EVER!

• The alum was still upset over parking tickets received while a student and will never donate. (The alum graduated nearly 20 years ago.)

• The alum just donated to UW-Green Bay’s football team (WE DON’T HAVE ONE!)

We have heard them all! Please take the time to truly consider giving back to your alma mater. Without your contributions students will not receive help in attending our school.
