Steve Swan, assistant chancellor of university advancement has been named vice president of relations at Western Washington University. He’ll join former UWGB Chancellor, Bruce Shepard, at Western Washington on Jan. 5.

• Tribute to Lovell Ives:
Jazz Fest XXXIX will help celebrate the 80th birthday of former music faculty member Lovell Ives. The event features the UW-Green Bay Jazz and Vocal ensembles and a special Alumni Jazz Band directed by Lovell Ives, featuring Mark Israel ‘82 on the trumpet and Mark Burditt ‘81 on the trombone, along with many others!
