The Lawton Gallery on the UW-Green Bay campus will host “Craftivism: Reclaiming Craft and Creating Community” October 9-30. The opening reception is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 9. Read more about the exhibit.

UW-Green Bay grew by nearly 200 students at the start of the 2008-09 academic year. A formal press release with enrollment numbers was released Sept. 22, 2008.
Alumni spirit was once again on display in September at UW-Green Bay’s oldest and most singular traditions: The Bill Laatsch Wine and Cheese Classic. More than 50 faculty, staff and alumni gathered at Shorewood Golf Course Clubhouse Sept. 18 to make this traditional event another cheesy success! Check out the event photos.
The UWGB Alumni Association and Office of Outreach and Extension invites all alumni and friends to join us at Baylake Bank City Center as we showcase six of our finest teaching scholars. Each will share their unique perspective on critical issues of the day. Learn more about your University, get to know some of our faculty, engage in lifelong learning, and support our downtown! Each is scheduled from noon to 12:45 p.m.

UW-Green Bay graduates and friends living and working in the Madison area are invited to attend an alumni reception, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30 in the Promenade Lounge, Overture Center for the Arts. The free reception will be held in conjunction with the music educators conference in Madison. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cash bar will be available. Networking Nights, a forum for students and alumni to interact with area professionals and gain information about an industry, field or organization, kicked off successfully on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 with Integrys.
The bi-monthly, question-and-answer sessions are relaxed and informal. Sessions are held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Mondays, in Room 103 of the University Union. Career Services extends an invitation to all interested UW-Green Bay graduates to network at this new event.
