• Tribute to Lovell Ives
Jazz Fest XXXIX will help celebrate the 80th birthday of former music faculty member Lovell Ives. The event features the UW-Green Bay Jazz and Vocal ensembles and a special Alumni Jazz Band directed by Lovell Ives, featuring Mark Israel ’82 on the trumpet and Mark Burditt ’81 on the trombone, along with many others! UW-Green Bay grad Jeffery Jaworski ’03 music, entertains with a classical guitar recital at 7:30 p.m. November 19 in the Jean Weidner Theatre (formerly Studio 2), at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts.

The Lawton Gallery on the UW-Green Bay campus will host “Craftivism: Reclaiming Craft and Creating Community” October 9-30. The opening reception is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 9. Read more about the exhibit.

UW-Green Bay grew by nearly 200 students at the start of the 2008-09 academic year. A formal press release with enrollment numbers was released Sept. 22, 2008.
Alumni spirit was once again on display in September at UW-Green Bay’s oldest and most singular traditions: The Bill Laatsch Wine and Cheese Classic. More than 50 faculty, staff and alumni gathered at Shorewood Golf Course Clubhouse Sept. 18 to make this traditional event another cheesy success! Check out the event photos.
