I graduated from Iowa State University in 2012, with a B.S. in Animal Ecology with fisheries and wildlife options. I worked as a fisheries seasonal for the Iowa DNR after my junior and senior years, which lead me to pursue a fisheries research career over wildlife or habitat management. I came to UWGB in June 2014 to work on a project investigating coastal wetland – nearshore linkages in Lake Michigan, and to design a thesis that extended this larger project. My thesis is investigating the movements of Bowfin in Green Bay, their trophic status, and comparing length-at-age estimates among the otoliths and fin rays.
